One of the really cool winter activities that is easily accessible and do not cost much is the ice-skating. And of course the swedish weather is the right weather for such an activity. Therefore in Gothenburg you will find both outdoor and indoor ice-skating rings.
I know two places which you can visit. The first one is located very centrally, in Heden. It is an open ring and it costs about 60 SEK for the full day including renting the skates. If you have your own skates the cost drops to 30 SEK. It is open all the week days from 9:00-15:00 and on Wednesdays till 20:00. In the weekend it is open from 11:00-17:00. For more information you can visit the web page: http://www.ispaheden.se/
The other place is the Ruddalen IP and it is located in Västra Frölunda, at Musikvägen 55. The cost is the same and the opening hours are: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-13:00 & 14:00-17:00 & 20:00-22:00, Wednesday 9:00-13:00 & 14:00-17:00 &18:00-22:00, Friday 9:00-13:00 & 14:00-17:00. In the weekend it is open from 10:30-13:00 & 14:00-18:30. They also have a hockey ring and a bandy rink that is open when the weather allows it. And one last thing! You don’t need to worry that is too hard to skate! After the first ten falls you will do it as a pro!
So, do not waste more time, the winter is here and so does the ice skating! Enjoy it!
