I already told you that Swedes have a day for eeeeevery traditional sweet that they have. So those weird green things that you must have seen at the cafeterias also have theirs! And it is today, 7th of March!
They are called Punschrulle. It is a Swedish small cylindrical pastry covered with green marzipan with the ends dipped in chocolate. The inside is a mix of crushed cookies, butter, and cacao, flavoured with punsch liqueur.
I admit that they are not at all my favourite pastry, you have to like its characteristic flavour, but Swedes go crazy about them. If you are in Sweden, don’t miss the opportunity to try at least one!
Have fika today! You have a good excuse 😀
