I can openly admit that I am not an early bird. So if you have ever told me: let’s attend a non-compulsory lecture at 7:30 am in Lindholmen, I would have probably laughed to your face.
But there is something about the early rise of the sun here in Sweden, that all of sudden makes it all acceptable to wake up at 6:30, take the ferry and be fully attentive to a presentation about Business & Design (I mean free breakfast and coffee was a nice add on as well 🙂 )
This event was organized by the Business & Design Alumni society, group of amazing current and ex students from my Master programme. It was a great chance for us students to gain some insights from people actually working within this field in Gothenburg and get some inspiration for our internships – from the CEO of the Shift Design consultancy.
Thanks to a lot of people invited from all around the industry, it was also a good opportunity for them to find out more about our programme and what is it that we do…I guess that will come very handy once we graduate and start our job hunt!
It all took place in the Visual arena in Lindholmen, which is definitely one of my favorite spots in the city. It is a great cluster of companies, some departments of GU and Chalmers, cafes and places supporting knowledge exchange and ideas sharing…very much my cup of tea. We have been there a lot recently, thanks to our new Integrated project where we are working with one of the companies located in Lindholmen…but more about that later:)
If you have never been in Lindholmen, I really encourage you to do so. It is a very nice urban space just to hang out and have a lunch by the sea or check possible internship companies in Gothenburg.
You can get there by a free ferry from Rosenlud (close to Jarntorget), it only takes 4 minutes!
Puss och kram,
