Gender-neutral pronoun in Swedish

Well, today I’ve started again my efforts to learn Swedish. Hopefully, this time it’ll be much more successful. A good sign is that I really like my new professor. It seems he is excellent in explaining difficult stuff in an understandable way, which is quite an asset for a teacher. Besides, when he sees that students are a kind of tired, he cheers us up with a nice joke or a true, but really funny story from Swedish life. Enjoy!

Swedes want to introduce the gender-neutral pronoun, meaning they’re not going to use “han” and “hon” (“he” and “she” respectively) anymore. They’ll change them for “hen” applicable for both genders and the one that has been used by their neighbours Finns. More information about this issue could be found here:
