6th of November is a holiday in Sweden, day of Gustavus Adolphus. He was a King of Sweden and founder of the Swedish Empire at the beginning of Golden Age of Sweden. As Swedes really appreciate their King, they create a special, very nice pastry. I must say that Swedes like to
create a holiday for a particular type of food, for example, they have a special day for bun with cinnamon or pancake.
So, we went to a small sweatshop just in the center of Gothenburg and bought a couple of Gustavus Adolphus pastries. A saleswoman packed them in a special white box with a strip. By the way, these pastries look and taste great: whipped cream, strawberry layer and a chocolate head of Gustavus Adolphus at the top.
P.S. Just forget to tell you, that today is an official day of Swedish flag, so all the trams today were decorated with them, which looked pretty cool.
Excellent plan. Have a dessert? Make a holiday for it!!
